Turn Back the Clock Night

April 22, 2009
To mark the 20th anniversary of Knights Baseball the Knights are turning back the clock on Sunday, May 3rd. The team will attempt to replicate a game from 1989 complete with special ticket pricing and stadium music. The tickets for that day will be set back to 1989 pricing: Field Box seats will be $5, Lower Level Reserved will be $4, and General Admission seats will be just $3. In addition selected concession items will be set back to pricing from 1989: hot dogs, popcorn, and sodas will all be priced at $1.

Knights players will be wearing special 1989 replica jerseys. These white jerseys feature the word Knights in black and orange and are a major departure from the blue and white pinstripes Knights players take the field in today. All the jerseys will be available for purchase by fans. The game worn jerseys will be available starting Monday, May 4th, on knightsteamstore.com

The Knights will also be issuing special baseball cards to mark the event. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Turn Back the Clock Baseball Card Set from BB&T featuring the 1989 Knights. All fans entering the stadium will receive a special turn back the clock game program featuring items reprinted from our 1989 program. During the game the stadium will be filled with musical hits from 1989. In fact the team will not play any music made after 1989. Throughout the game the team will be featuring 1989 trivia questions and showing 1989 tv clips on the videoboard in center field.

Tickets are on sale now for the Turn Back the Clock Day. The Knights Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and can be reached in North Carolina by calling 704-36-HOMER. South Carolina fans should call 803-548-8050. Tickets are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by clicking here.
