Support Your Town/City at LeLacheur Park this Summer

April 22, 2009
The team may be called the Lowell Spinners, but the organization takes great pride in being a member of the Merrimack Valley and considers the communities surrounding Lowell as a major reason for the franchise's success.

This season we aim to thank those fans from the communities surrounding Lowell with specialized nights throughout the season. Those residents of Dracut, Chelmsford, Tewksbury, Billerica, Tyngsboro and, of course, Lowell, will each have their own night to shine at LeLacheur Park this summer.

Each night will feature special tributes to members of each local community, from an elected official or fan from each community throwing out a ceremonial first pitch to even greater honors for some nights.

The nights are scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, July 7 - Lowell Night

Lowell Night also coincides with Lowell General Hospital Night's Adult T-Shirt Giveaway and will honor the city the Spinners have called home since 1996.

Wednesday, July 29 - Dracut Night

Dracut Night will feature a special tribute to the Dracut High School Middies 2009 State Super Bowl Championship football team. In addition to special pre-game festivities, the first 1,500 fans will receive a Dracut High School Middies Football Player Mini-Bobble Head, honoring the Super Bowl win.

Friday, August 7 - Chelmsford Night

Coinciding with Yard Sign Giveaway night, this night will honor our neighbors.

Friday, August 21 - Tewskbury night

Presented in conjunction with Notebook Giveaway night, tonight we honor Tewksbury, perhaps with an appearance from long-time Major Leaguer Bob Tewksbury.

Monday, August 31 - Billerica Night

On this night we will celebrate Billerica by honoring one of their own, Spinners manager and Billerica native Gary DiSarcina, with a bobble head giveaway. This bobble head is a must have for Billerica natives and Spinners fans alike to add to their Tom Glavine from 2008 in Billerica High School legends.

Tuesday, September 1 - Tyngsboro Night

How could we forget Tyngsboro, tied in with Boston Red Sox night to conclude our 2009 home schedule.

Tickets remain available for each of the nights, with group and Gator Pit options available for a few of the dates. For availability questions, contact the Lowell Spinners Ticket Office at 978-459-1702.
