Sea Dogs Roster Moves

Jed Lowrie to Continue Rehab in Lowell on Wednesday

Portland, Maine- The Boston Red Sox have assigned shortstop Jed Lowrie to Single-A Lowell to continue his rehabilitation assignment. Additionally Sea Dogs' right-handed pitcher Ryne Lawson has been assigned to Single-A Lowell. Right-handed pitcher Adam Mills rejoins the Sea Dogs from Single-A Lowell. Mills will start game two of Wednesday's doubleheader for the Sea Dogs against the Binghamton Mets at Hadlock Field.

Lowrie has been sidelined since April 12th with a wrist injury after appearing in just five games for the Red sox this season. The 2007 Eastern League All-Star made one start for the Sea Dogs on Monday against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats during his rehabilitation, Lowrie was 3-for-5, 2 RBI with a double and 2 singles.

Mills, 24 years-old, has made 14 starts for the Sea Dogs this season notching a 4-5 record with a 5.85 ERA. He was drafted by the Red Sox in the eighth round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft.

Lawson is 1-7 with a 6.44 ERA in 12 starts for Portland this season. The 24 year-old was selected by the Red Sox in 30th round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.
