Buy A Piece Of Centennial Field History

Reserved Section Seats Behind Home Plate Going On Sale
August 20, 2013

BURLINGTON, VT- The Vermont Lake Monsters are offering fans the chance to own a piece of baseball history. The Lake Monsters will be replacing the majority of the wooden reserved seats behind home plate for the 2014 season as the concrete is being reinforced, like it was in 2013 for the grandstand sections. The wood seats will be replaced with plastic seats similar to the new 2013 seating in the grandstands.

Historic Centennial Field, which saw its first baseball game in 1906, has received a major facelift over the last year, including the addition of brand new individual seats that replaced the concrete general admission seating in the grandstands. The wood seats being sold to the public have been in place since 1922, when the current concrete and steel main grandstand were erected to replace the original wooden bleachers that burned down in 1912.

Due to historic preservation, the front row in each section will remain in place, as will all of the aisle seats and seats with the University of Vermont baseball logo on the armrest.

The old seats will be sold in sets of three seats (at $107) or four seats(at $117.70) upon availability, no exceptions. All purchases must be paid in full, upfront. Buyers will not be able to select the seats they buy, and there is no guarantee on specific seats. The Lake Monsters will contact the buyer ahead of time to let them know the specific date and time to pick up their piece of historic Centennial Field.

Seats can be purchased by contacting Joe through email at [email protected] or by phone at (802) 655-4200.
