July 10, 2009
Pawtucket, R.I. - The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, got an outstanding pitching performance from Tobi Stoner Friday night, beating Pawtucket 1-0.

The only run Buffalo would need came in the fourth inning when Mike Lamb hit a ground rule double over the right field fence. He score one batter later when Javier Castillo doubled to left field. The Bisons went up 1-0.

Pawtucket threatened in the bottom of the ninth. With two outs Paul McAnulty walked followed by a Chris Carter single. A wild pitch advanced the runners and then a walk to Mark Warner loaded the bases. Kyle Snyder ended the offensive with a strikeout of Bubba Bell.

Tobi Stoner picked up the win for the Herd. He's now 2-2 at Triple-A. He allowed just one hit over seven shutout innings while striking out three.

The Bisons sweep the two game series with the Red Sox and travel to Syracuse to play Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Saturday's game begins at 4:00.
