Ramirez Rejoins Hawks, Parker to DL
Parker has been bothered by the shoulder injury for the better part of the season, landing on the DL for the second time. He has played in just 56 of the Hawks' 83 games this season, but has made an impact when he's in the lineup. Parker is currently batting .276 with one home run and 24 RBIs. Parker was batting over .300 on July 1st, when the recent inflammation led to his average dropping to its current level.
Ramirez is no stranger to the Silver Hawks, having played for South Bend in both 2008 and the first half of the 2009. He was batting .211 with one home run and 17 RBIs when he was called up as a fill-in to high-A Visalia on June 30th. Ramirez found his stroke in nine games with Visalia, hitting .342 with four RBIs.
The South Bend roster currently stands at 25 active players plus three on the disabled list. The Midwest League limit is 25 active players.
