Jupiter Gets Big Win at Home

JUPITER, FL- The Jupiter Hammerheads (7-12) beat the St. Lucie Mets (7-8) by a score of 5-1 tonight at Roger Dean Stadium. Elih Villanueva (7-8) threw seven strong innings and struck out six to lead Jupiter to victory.

Jupiter's bats came alive tonight and finished the game with 10 hits. Center fielder Gregory Burns led the way and was two for four with two doubles (12) and two runs scored. Ben Harrison and Jameson Smith each had multi-hit games. Matt Dominguez singled in the sixth inning to extend his hitting streak to eight games.

Jupiter has an off-day tomorrow and will open up a seven-game road trip starting Wednesday that will take them to Charlotte and Brevard County. The Hammerheads will return to "The Dean" on July 22nd to take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers.
