Colmenares Joins Salt Lake

The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has recalled infielder Carlos Colmenares from Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Colmenares, 23, has appeared in 56 games for Rancho Cucamonga in 2009, hitting .282 with 12 doubles, three triples, 18 RBI and 11 stolen bases. He has also appeared in 17 games for Single-A Cedar Rapids this season where he hit .211 with two doubles, four RBI and five stolen bases. The Maracay, Venezuela native signed with the Angels as a non-drafted free agent in 2004.
