Pino to start for Slowey; Henn on DL

Rochester adds Lugo
July 25, 2009
Twins pitcher Kevin Slowey will not make a rehab start for Rochester in Charlotte Saturday, after experiencing a setback with his injured right wrist.

Slowey left Charlotte and returned to Minneapolis Saturday, and will be re-examined by Twins physicians. He was placed on the DL July 4 after posting a 10-3 record with Minnesota.

Pino won his Triple-A debut with the Wings July 20 against Pawtucket at Frontier Field. LHP Sean Henn was placed on the disabled list Saturday with a sore left shoulder. Henn is 0-0 with six saves and a 1.50 ERA for Rochester. Taking Henn's roster spot will be LHP Jose Lugo, who is being promoted from Double-A New Britain. Lugo is 4-2 with three saves and a 4.19 ERA in 50 games for the Rock Cats. Lugo currently leads the Eastern League in appearances with 50 (New Britain RHP Anthony Slama is 2nd with 43 appearances). Lugo will join the Red Wings Sunday in Charlotte.
