Author Larry Tye and former Red Sox pitcher Oil Can Boyd to appear at McCoy

On August 6 prior to Pawtucket's 7:05 pm game vs. Norfolk at McCoy Stadium, the PawSox will pay tribute to award-winning journalist Larry Tye and former PawSox and Red Sox pitcher Oil Can Boyd.

Both Larry and Oil Can will be at McCoy and available to the media at 6:00 pm and then in the Cox Fan Center at McCoy for autographs from 7:15 - 8:30 pm.

Tye has written the best selling biography of legendary baseball pitcher, showman, and boundary breaker Satchel Paige titled Satchel, The Life and Times of an American Legend.

The book is a New York Times and Boston Globe best seller and has received endorsements from among others Yogi Berra who said, "Knowing Satchel Paige is knowing nobody like him. This is a superb book about an outstanding man."
