Brett Favre Celebrity Softball Game Returns

(Green Bay, WI)...The date of the Seventh Annual Brett Favre Celebrity Softball Game has been scheduled for Sunday, June 11, 2006. The game will be held at Fox Cities Stadium, the home of the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, in Appleton beginning at 12:00 pm. For the seventh consecutive year, Bergstrom Automotive, the largest dealer group in Wisconsin, will serve as presenting sponsor of the event.

The event will feature Brett Favre and members of the Green Bay Packers. The annual game traditionally matches the Packers offense against the Packers defense. All proceeds will benefit the Brett Favre Fourward Foundation, whose mission is to provide aid to disadvantaged or disabled children residing in Wisconsin and Mississippi.

The Brett Favre Fourward Foundation distributed more than $110,000 to local charities from last year's softball game. The Brett Favre Fourward Foundation was established in 1996 and is a 501(c)3 organization in which all net proceeds raised from each event benefits charities. More than $2 million has been donated between Wisconsin and Mississippi the past ten years.

Fans will have an opportunity for advance tickets by purchasing the Timber Rattlers 4-game Sunday ticket package. The package would include a ticket to the Brett Favre Celebrity Softball game, along with a ticket to three Timber Rattler games (June 25, July 9, August 6). The packages start at $41 for reserved seats and $55.50 for box seats.
