Durham Bulls Unveil New On-Field Look for 2014

IL Champs Reveal New Home, Road, and Alternate Jerseys
November 25, 2013

The Durham Bulls have unveiled three new jerseys that will make up the storied franchise's uniform set beginning in 2014. Reimagined home and road jerseys, along with a brand new alternate top, were revealed on the Bulls Instagram account after a series of sneak preview images were posted via the social media platform.

The International League Champions will sport redesigned white home jerseys when they open the 2014 campaign at the DBAP on April 3, 2014. A new "BULLS" wordmark ascends from left to right across the chest in royal blue, outlined by Texas tan with black dropshadows. The team's famous "D" primary logo is prominently featured on the lower left chest below the jersey lettering. A royal blue and Texas tan braid lines the neck opening and sleeves of the jersey.

For the first time since the 2002 season, the Bulls will proudly display "DURHAM" across their chests on the road. The new road uniforms feature the team's hometown spelled out across a gray jersey in the new lettering scheme. The road grays will also display the recognizable Bulls primary logo on the lower left chest and include the royal blue and Texas tan braid along the neck and sleeves. To accompany the new road jerseys, the Bulls will bring back a popular color combination to their cap arsenal - the orange Bulls "D" logo on a blue crown with Texas tan visor and button.

"In redesigning our jerseys, it was important for us to stay true to our great tradition while also freshening our look for the rebirth of Durham Bulls baseball," said Bulls General Manager Mike Birling. "Whether at home or on the road, fans will immediately know who we are and where we are from."

In addition to the first complete redesigns of the home and road jerseys since 2009, the Bulls also reveal an all-new orange alternate jersey. The Bulls blue "D" logo stands alone on the left chest of the Texas tan alternates, which feature a royal blue piping down the front of the jersey and on the sleeve openings.

New replica jerseys are now available for purchase in the Bulls online team store.

The Durham Bulls open their Governors' Cup title defense at the newly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park on April 3, 2014 versus the Gwinnett Braves.
