PBUC unveils new logo
''We developed our new logo to reflect PBUC's important role in the game of baseball, not just professional umpiring but the amateur umpiring community as well," said PBUC Executive Director Justin Klemm. "Our logo represents PBUC's continued commitment to the training, development and evaluation of professional umpires within our 18 domestic and foreign leagues. It will brand our efforts moving forward as we expand our presence through our resources in Durham and Vero Beach."
Minor League Baseball operates and utilizes Durham Athletic Park in Durham, N.C., as a training center for business and facility operations in the baseball industry.
MiLB also oversees the Dodgertown facility in Vero Beach, Fla., where it plans to host yearround events, including tournaments; baseball, umpire, groundskeeper and fantasy camps; conferences; and other sports and non-sports related programming. The facility is where the Los Angeles Dodgers held their spring training camp from 1948-2008. It was also the home of a Class A Florida State League club from 1980-2008.
The new logo was designed by Studio Simon in Louisville, Ky.
