April 28, 2006
FORT MILL, SC -The Charlotte Knights are in their 8th season as the Triple-A affiliate for the Chicago White Sox and have begun the 2006 season in record fashion. After 21-games, the Knights record currently stands at 15-6, which has placed them atop the IL South Division. Along with being the current leader of the IL South, the Knights have also accumulated the most amount of wins in the International League. The Knights are also tied with Albuquerque of the Pacific Coast League for most amount of wins between the two leagues, as they too have a 15-6 record.

The Knights are currently in the middle of a three game winning streak and they will look to make it four as they have the opportunity to sweep the Ottawa Lynx tonight in Ottawa. Their series with the Lynx is concluded following tonight's game when they will cross back over the boarder to take on the Buffalo Bisons.

The Knights will return home on Thursday, May 4 for a four game series with the Louisville Bats before taking on the Indianapolis Indians in a four game set beginning on Monday, May 8.
