The Arizona Diamondbacks will hold free agent tryout

YAKIMA - The Yakima Bears in partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks will be holding a free agent camp at Yakima County Stadium Wednesday August 19th with registration beginning at 9:30am. The camp will begin at 10am and last approximately 3 hours. The tryout is open to all kids ages 16-22. The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking for free agent players to add to their system for the 2010 season. Depending on the age of the player, players could be assigned to play in Yakima next summer.

Two members of the Arizona Diamondbacks scouting department will be present to evaluate players. Each player will be given an opportunity to show off their throwing and hitting skills as well as their athletic ability.
