Cardinals Wrap up 2009 Season with Seven Home Dates
The Princeton Rays will be in town beginning on Thursday, August 27. Thursday's game is a double header with the first game being the completion of a suspended game on 7/25/09 in Princeton. This game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a seven inning contest upon the conclusion of game one. Thursday is "JROTC Night" sponsored by Sports Clips. Members of area high school JROTC programs will receive free admission to the game. Thursday is also Charter Communications "Bailout Night." All hotdogs will be $1 and fans present your Charter cable bill at the gate to receive a buy one get one free general admission ticket.
Friday's game featuring the Cardinals and the Rays is a day game double header with first pitch scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. Fans bring your business card to the box office to receive free admission. Both games will be seven inning contests. The series with Princeton will conclude on Saturday, August 29 at 6 p.m. Saturday's game is presented by American Water Heaters. The first 200 fans through the gate will receive a free Cardinals t-shirt courtesy of American Water Heaters. Fans stick around after the game for a post-game fireworks display presented by American Water Heaters. Several Cardinals players will also be available before the game to sign autographs.
The 2009 season will come to an end with a three game series beginning on Sunday, August 30 against the Pulaski Mariners. Sunday's game will begin at 6 p.m. and is "Faith and Family Night" presented by Calvary Church. Fans bring your church bulletin to the game to receive $1 off a general admission ticket. The Cardinals and the Mariners will square off in game two on Monday at 7 p.m. Monday's game is "ETSU Pride Night." Free admission will be granted to anyone with an ETSU I.D. or any fans wearing ETSU paraphernalia. The season finale is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1 at 7 p.m. Tuesday is "Fan Appreciation Night" presented by the Johnson City Press. Admission to the game is free and players will be on hand to sign autographs prior to the game.
