Ishii almost perfect in rehab start
Mets lefty pitches four no-hit innings
New York Mets left-hander Kazuhisa Ishii got his rehabilitation stint off to a flying start Friday night as he pitched four no-hit innings for the Class A St. Lucie Mets.
Coming back from a strained muscle in his left side, Ishii walked one and struck out three in his Florida State League -- and Minor League -- debut. The 31-year-old left-hander did not figure in the Mets' 10-6 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle.
Ishii is expected to make at least one more rehab appearance, although the Mets have not announced where it will be. He was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers during Spring Training and is 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA in three starts for New York.
