Vito Frabizio Named 2009 All-Star

BLUEFIELD --- Bluefield Orioles' pitcher Vito Frabizio was named to the Appalachian League 2009 All-Star Team on Tuesday. The right-handed pitcher was the only Orioles' player to be named to the team. Frabizio follows the lead of outfielder Ronnie Welty who was the lone All-Star for the Orioles last season.

The New York native, Frabizio is 4-4 with a 2.96 earned run average in 12 games started. Frabizio has given up 57 hits, 23 earned runs, and 16 walks in 70 innings of work. He's also third in the league with 64 strikeouts. Appalachian League batters are hitting .223 against Frabizio.
