66ers Unveil New Jerseys Following Championship Season

(San Bernardino, CA) - The Inland Empire 66ers released three new jerseys to complete their new brand identity following the logo unveiling in November of 2013. The team played under the red, white and blue colors since changing from the San Bernardino Stampede to the 66ers in 2003.
"It is an extremely exciting time in the history of this team," stated General Manager Joe Hudson. "The new blue, orange and black colors and logos paired with these jerseys respect the history of Route 66 while complimenting the present state. They all come together to commemorate Route 66 and the history of baseball in the Inland Empire."
The home 66ers jersey present the 66ers script logo across the chest with 66ers light blue trim circling the neck line and following the button line down the front of the jersey and the players number in 66ers blue outlined in black under the script on the left side of the front of the jersey. Two unique characteristics of the jersey come in the form of tire tracks in the 66ers graphite color on both right and left sleeves representing the Route 66 road. The numbers on the back of the jersey are the first of their kind in 66ers blue outlined in black, but feature unique black oil drips running down the face of the number signifying the oil found along the Route 66 road and a necessary component mechanics use to keep an engine running smooth along the way. The home pants are white with 66ers blue piping running down the leg and are paired with 66ers blue socks. Completing the uniform is a patch on the left sleeve of the IE logo. The home hat matched with the uniform is the mechanic swinging the wrench.
The away and alternate jerseys display the light 66ers blue and vibrant orange colors made famous by classic muscle cars that used to roam Route 66 and continue to do so today. The designated away jersey is cloaked in 66ers blue with bright orange trim circling the neck line and following the button line down the front of the jersey. A batter swinging a wrench paying homage to the thousands of mechanics located along Route 66 from the past and to the thousands of mechanics across the Inland Empire today is adorned on the left breast and player numbers are located diagonally across from the batter in bright orange detailed in black. The number on the back of the jersey is brilliantly displayed in bright orange outlined in black with the custom oil drip print and the powerful muscle car engine block appears on the left sleeve. A black hat with the IE logo will be worn with the jersey on the road with 66ers blue socks.
The final jersey revealed will initially be worn as a Sunday alternate are inverted colors of the away jersey. The orange uniform has the familiar 66ers blue trim but the IE logo replaces the batter swinging a wrench on the chest and the color of the number is 66ers blue. The number on the back is 66ers blue with the oil drip print and taking the place of the engine block on the sleeve is the 66ers hood ornament logo. Orange socks matching the uniform are also to be worn with the Sunday alternate and the pants outfitting the away and alternate jerseys are primarily grey with orange piping. All uniforms are outfitted with a 66ers blue belt.
