C's uniforms take center stage at Luncheon

January 24, 2014

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - As the four new uniforms were unveiled at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, you could hear fans through the Main Ballroom pointing and nodding their heads in approval.

Canadians President Andy Dunn described the new look for the 2014 season and beyond by stating that "We have sharpened up our mark and will be proud to see the future of the Toronto Blue Jays taking to the field in this uniform set every summer".

A red jersey with a white font drew the attention of many as it was accompanied by a new look 'Day' cap to be worn only on afternoon games out at Scotiabank Field.

The Canadians will keep the white, grey and black jerseys from the past few years - but made several key alterations to them including a new red font on the road grey and the addition of a new character on the black jersey.

In the coming weeks, the Canadians will ask their fanbase to help them name the newest character that was largely conceived in the hopes of paying tribute to the Mounties of the 50's and 60's that played here in Vancouver.
