President Dave Oster honored as Citizen of the Year
Lake Elsinore, CA - The Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted the 65th Annual Installation Awards Ceremony on Saturday, January 25, with the top honor of Citizen of the Year being awarded to Lake Elsinore Storm President, Dave Oster.
For a community that prides itself on action sports and a city that extols the virtues of "Dream Extreme", his initiatives have included "Clean Extreme", which is a citywide effort to help beautify Lake Elsinore, and "Going Green", an ongoing commitment to promote awareness in schools, at the ballpark and in the community.
Most recently Dave created the Play It Forward program to honor individuals and groups in our community who support others and make our area a better place.
Dave has spent 25 years in professional sports, including 14 fruitful seasons guiding the Lake Elsinore Storm. He has been awarded General Manager of the Year in two different leagues, and was a driving force in resurrecting franchises in Geneva, NY, Wilmington, DE and Salem, VA before bringing new life and creativity to the shores of Elsinore.
In addition, the Storm Baseball Team was honored with the Chairwoman's Award which recognizes a business or individual in the community who exemplifies commitment, service, charity and leadership above and beyond the call of duty.
