Red Wings win behind Dickey

Rochester won game two of the brief set at McCoy on Thursday night, knocking off the PawSox, 6-4.

Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey pitched 7 solid innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. Anthony Slama notched his fourth save for the Wings.

Billy Traber fell to 7-8 as he gave up 5 runs in six frames. Brock Peterson had three hits and Dustin Martin knocked in 2 runs for Rochester.

The PawSox got a couple of RBI from Gil Velazquez, and two hits apiece from Chris Carter, Mark Wagner and Dusty Brown.

The season record falls to 58-80 with just 5 games remaining on the schedule. The last two home games at McCoy are set for Friday and Saturday. Friday night features post-game fireworks and starter Daisuke Matsuzaka. Dice-K (0-1, 1.54) is making his second rehab start for Pawtucket (arm fatigue). Matsuzaka faces Ross Detwiler (3-2, 3.05). Game time is 6:15 p.m.
