February 17, 2014

Bowling Green, Ky. - Exciting and fun events are coming to Bowling Green Ballpark this summer, and the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) are seeking seasonal employees to help create great memories for fans. The job fair will be held at the ballpark on Saturday, Feb. 22. Positions hired will last the duration of the 2014 baseball season, which is nearing its first pitch on Thursday, April 3.

"We're looking for something a little different, and funner, this year," said Hot Rods general manager and chief operating officer, Adam Nuse. "There will be 70 unique events this summer, and the actual play on the field is just one part of the event. We want ambassadors to help bring an outstanding entertainment experience to our fantastic fans. Working at the ballpark is a great chance to join a team that is focused on making memories."

Saturday's job fair will be open to the public, and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Any and all interested parties are encouraged to attend, and a number of positions will be available. Jobs include ushers, ticket takers, ticket sellers, camera operators for Hot Rods TV, mascots, bat boys, fan services, grounds crew members, and workers for the brand new kids zone coming to the ballpark in 2014.

To apply, those interested are encouraged to fill-out an application form ahead of time, but it is not required. Forms can be found at BGHotRods.com, or by stopping by the ballpark offices during regular business hours. If you are unable to fill-out the form ahead of time, equal consideration will be provided at the job fair.

All applying on Saturday will be interviewed on site at the ballpark during the job fair, but no decisions on employment will be made the day of the event. Everyone who attends the job fair will be notified by mail of seasonal employment no later than Friday, March 15.

The calendar is speeding towards Citizens First Opening Night at Bowling Green Ballpark, which is slated for Thursday, April 3. The Hot Rods will welcome in the South Bend Silver Hawks (Arizona Diamondbacks) for a four-game series to kick-off the 2014 campaign. Season ticket packages are available now, and they offer savings of up to 65 percent. They can be secured by calling the Hot Rods at 270-901-2121, or logging on to BGHotRods.com.
