Fisher Cats Release Spring Training Schedule

With minor leaguer players set to report to Dunedin, Fla. this weekend, the Fisher Cats have announced their 2014 Spring Training Schedule. The squad will tune up for the regular season with 16 games beginning Mar. 11 against their Double-A counterparts from the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Detroit Tigers.

All Blue Jays minor league players report to Dunedin, Fla., to begin Spring Training on Saturday, Mar. 1. Position players report Mar. 4, and full squad workouts begin Mar. 6. 

The exhibition schedule gets underway Tuesday, Mar. 11 as the Fisher Cats visit the Reading Fightin Phils in Clearwater, Fla. The first home game for the Fisher Cats will occur two days later against the Pirates affiliate in Dunedin. The Fisher Cats will play six games against the Fightins, five against the Altoona Curve (Pirates), four with the Trenton Thunder (Yankees), and one against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers). All games will be played in Florida.

Opening Day at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium is Thursday, April 10, 2014 against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets).
