Opening Night at Victory Field

Promos Include Weather Guarantee, Schedule Magnets & Fireworks

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians will kick-off their 2014 home schedule with a promotion-packed contest against the Toledo Mud Hens at Victory Field on Thursday, April 10 at 7:05 p.m. The evening's exciting slate of events includes the return of the Tribe's annual "60 Degree Weather Guarantee," a schedule magnet giveaway and postgame fireworks.

Despite one of the snowiest winters on record for central Indiana, the Tribe, courtesy of its weather partner WTHR, is excited to announce the return of the Opening Night "60 Degree Weather Guarantee." The guarantee states that if the game-time temperature at Victory Field is below 60 degrees on Opening Night, everyone in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to another April home game of their choice.

The Tribe is also celebrating its home opener with an Indians schedule magnet giveaway to the first 2,500 fans through Victory Field's turnstiles, courtesy of Comfort Suites and Porter Paints. This great giveaway will not only help fans follow the exciting action of Indians baseball all season long, but may also come in handy Opening Night if fans suddenly find themselves with an extra free ticket to an April home game from the "60 Degree Weather Guarantee."

In addition, the Tribe's 2014 home opener also marks the first Thursday Value Night of the season, presented by Pepsi. For just $20, fans can enjoy the full ballpark experience with a package that includes a Reserved Seat ticket, T-shirt, hot dog and unlimited soda. Patrons can also upgrade the package with a Box Seat ticket for just $4 more.

The Indians will then cap off Opening Night with a fantastic postgame fireworks show. Fans will be invited to stay in their seats after Thursday's contest to both enjoy the pyrotechnics display and help the Tribe kick-off its home schedule with a bang.

Tickets can also be purchased in-person at the Victory Field Box Office beginning March 24, and fans can take advantage of $2 savings on all Box, Reserved and Lawn tickets when purchased by 11:59 p.m. the day before any regularly-scheduled home game (excluding July 4th).
