Charlotte Stone Crabs Announce 2014 Promotional Schedule

2014 Stone Crabs promotional schedule promises to thrill fans all season long

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs unveiled their 2014 promotional schedule today. The schedule is highlighted by eight fireworks shows, giveaways, jersey auctions, live entertainment and more.

The Stone Crabs kick off their sixth season at Charlotte Sports Park on Thursday, April 3 for Opening Night where they will be giving away 2014 magnet schedules to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of BB&T Bank.

Along with the magnet schedules, the Stone Crabs have teamed up with their booster club for "Cowbell Giveaway Night" on Friday, April 11 where the first 1,000 fans will receive a Stone Crabs cowbell. Other giveaways throughout the season will include items such as hats, t-shirts, ornaments, lunch boxes, and more.

As in the past seasons, The Stone Crabs will host the always-popular post-game fireworks shows. Starting on April 4, the team will hold eight fireworks shows, including the largest firework show of the season on July 3 in honor of Independence Day. Other fireworks games will be May 3, May 17, May 31, June 21, August 9, and August 29.

The Stone Crabs will be featuring several theme nights, non-profit organization nights, heritage nights, and so much more.

One of the several non-profit nights will be on Saturday, May 3 for Breast Cancer Awareness Night. The Stone Crabs and Advanced Imaging have paired up to raise awareness and benefit the organization, Dollars for Mammograms. The night will consist of a pink Stone Crabs hat giveaway and The Stone Crabs will also wear pink jerseys to later be auctioned. A fireworks show will immediately follow after the game.

The Stone Crabs will also feature two Irish Heritage Nights thanks to The Celtic Ray Public House. On May 8 and August 14 fans can enjoy live entertainment both before and after the game from the band Flurgin along with Thirsty Thursday drink specials.

Returning to the promotional schedule for 2014 are Faith Nights (April 11 & August 9), Reading Club Nights (April 12, May 2, May 9), Scout Nights (May 31 & June 21), and Dog Days (May 18 & August 3).

Box Office hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday on non-game days. Box Office hours on game days are from 9:00 am through the end of the game, Monday through Friday and 10:00 am through the end of the game on Saturdays and Sundays.
