Suns release ticket sales date & promo slate

Tickets to all 70 Suns games available to public Monday at 9 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns will begin selling individual game tickets for the 2014 season to the general public on March 17 at 9 p.m. With the ticket sales date, the Suns also release their 2014 promotional schedule for the fans to enjoy.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.jaxsuns.com and through the Suns Box Office by calling 904-358-2846. Fans that have purchased voucher books can begin exchanging them for tickets as well starting Monday. 

Single-game ticket prices will remain unchanged with the Dugout box seats at $22.50, the home plate box at $13.50 and the reserved area at $10.50. The general admission section sold only the day of the game is $7.50.

For the second straight season, the Suns will have six premium nights with a slight increase in ticket prices. Fans can still buy season tickets on Monday through the website or by calling the Suns box office. A full list of season ticket options can be viewed here.

Concerts from national recording artists, an temperance from A&E Duck Dynasty's Mountain man and numerous are only a few of the things that highlight the 2014 promotional schedule.

The Suns will kick off the 2014 season on Thursday, April 3 at 7:05 p.m. with the unveiling of the Legends of Jacksonville baseball Display at Bragan Field. The Suns will induct nine Prolific Baseball figures with Jacksonville ties to the Legends of Jacksonville Baseball in a ceremony near the main gate of the park.

The first 3,000 fans will get a special card set with the nine Legends on Opening Night and the first 2,000 fans will get a baseball card binder. On Friday, April 4 the Suns will celebrate the Bragan family's 30th year of ownership with a special tribute schedule poster for all fans.

National recording artists Francesca Battistelli (May 23), Rion Paige (June 8) and Jason Crabb (August 29) will all rock Suns fans with a special post-game concert in 2014. Battistelli and Crabb will each headline one of the annual Family Faith Nights, while Paige will entertain her hometown on Country Music Day with the talented voice that won her success on the X Factor.

Other musical acts for 2014 include Elvis Himselvis (June 19-20), the George Aspinall Band for Jimmy Buffet Night (June 21) and Christian artist Tiffany Coburn (June 22, July 6).

The Suns will tap into its Southern roots with the appearance of Mountain Man from Duck Dynasty on June 6. The Suns will also host appearances from Billy the Marlin of the Miami Marlins (April 27), two-time National League MVP Dale Murphy (May 30), the Zooperstars (May 10, Aug. 9) and Birdzerk (Aug. 30). The annual battle of the Pot o' Gold is back with Leprechaun Championship Wrestling on July 18.

Fans will once again benefit from several unique giveaways during the 2014 season. The Suns will have two bobble head nights with Christian Yelich (June 21) and Derek Dietrich (July 19) as well as two Suns Cap giveaway nights on April 26 (Suns cap in Florida or Georgia school colors) and July 5 (Suns patriotic cap). Another great giveaway item is former Sun and current Marlin Marcell Ozuna yellow replica jerseys on May 24 and hand out a special USA World Cup Soccer scarf on June 7 at 3:05 in time for the National team's sendoff match later that night at Everbank Field. 

The Suns have four jersey auctions, Pink jerseys on May 10, Navy Camo jerseys on May 25, Jimmy Buffett style jerseys on June 21 and Patriotic jerseys on July 4, to benefit local charities. The Suns will also have Autism Awareness Day on Sunday, April 27 and ALS Night will be held on Tuesday, May 27.

Back by popular demand are fan-favorite promotions like Belly Buster Mondays, Fifty-Cent Family Fest Tuesdays, Businessperson Special day games on Wednesdays, Thursday Night Throwdowns with Buds for a buck and two for one cocktails and Friday Family Fireworks.

Children can also take part in Kids run the bases on most Sundays, Family Photo Day (April 6), an Easter Egg Hunt (April 20), on-field clinic (April 27), Scout Nights (April 4, May 30), Celebration of Reading (April 28, May 12) and Camp (June 23, July 7) days.

The Suns will once again host special county nights on May 21 (Nassau), June 21 (Clay) and August 18 (St. John's). Fans can also enjoy 14 firework nights, including holiday fireworks on July 4-5, May 25 and August 31.
