Potomac Nationals Partner with Central Park Funland in Fredericksburg

Woodbridge, VA-The Potomac Nationals have partnered with Central Park Funland, a top indoor and outdoor entertainment venue in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on naming rights to the Pfitzner Stadium Kids Zone.

Established in 1997, Central Park Funland was one of the first amusement venues in the Central Park shopping complex which is now part of Celebrate Virginia. Funland features a wide array of attractions including: batting cages, mini golf, laser tag, carnival rides, go karts, rock wall climbing, mini bowling, video and arcade games, a play zone with a bouncy house, and the Extreme Cannonball Blaster.

Central Park Funland will sponsor the kids play area up the right field line at The Pfitz during the 2014 season, and in return, the P-Nats will brand the batting cages at Funland.

Baseball and softball fans in the Fredericksburg area will celebrate the unveiling of the P-Nats sponsored Funland batting cages on Saturday, April 5th at 11:00am. Fans of the Nationals and Funland will practice their hitting skills inside six state-of-the-art Ultimate Trainer® batting cages that feature dual pitching stations, which deliver either baseballs or softballs with multiple speeds topping out at 70 miles per hour.

Members of the Potomac Nationals front office in addition to the P-Nats' official mascot, Uncle Slam will be on hand for the batting cage partnership announcement to meet and greet Funland guests.

The Potomac Nationals are proud to donate team batting helmets that will be used while players are taking swings in the Funland cages.

Recently the Nationals bestowed their Pfitzner Stadium field tarp to the University of Mary Washington Baseball program to better protect the Eagles' home schedule against the elements.

The Central Park Funland Kids Zone at The Pfitz will be open for play on P-Nats Opening Day 2014 scheduled for Tuesday, April 8th at 7:05pm as the Nationals host the Lynchburg Hillcats (Atlanta Braves).
