Traber, Zephyrs down River Cats
Traber (2-1) pitched seven scoreless innings in his last start against Nashville on Monday and was nearly as good this time around, yielding one run on seven hits and one walk.
After working around singles in the first two innings, Traber had his nine-inning scoreless streak snapped on Keith Ginter's RBI double in the third. He did not allow another runner past second base and left after throwing 102 pitches.
Zephyrs reliever Travis Hughes gave up one walk in three innings for his third save as New Orleans (18-18) won for the eighth time in 10 games.
Larry Broadway and Brandon Larson had consecutive run-scoring hits off Sacramento starter Juan Dominguez (2-5) in the first.
Dominguez gave up four runs -- two earned -- on eight hits while striking out nine in 6 2/3 innings for the River Cats (16-20), who lost for the third time in their last four games. --Carl Dispoto/MLB.com
