Rainiers, Chihuahuas Rained Out
TACOMA, Wash. -- The Tacoma Rainiers game against the El Paso Chihuahuas, originally scheduled to be played at 6 p.m. today, has been postponed due to rain.
Today's rained out game will now be played as part of a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, May 24th at 5 p.m. Each game of the doubleheader will be seven innings, with the second game set to begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.
Tickets from tonight's game may be exchanged at the Cheney Stadium Box Office for a ticket to any future 2014 Rainiers home game, with the exception of July 3rd and August 27th. Tickets will only be exchanged for available seats to an upcoming game.
The Rainiers will host El Paso again tomorrow, April 9, to play the second game of what is now a three-game series with the Chihuahuas. Left-hander James Gillheeney (0-0, -.--) is scheduled to make his 2014 debut in a start for Tacoma against El Paso left-hander Juan Oramas (0-0, -.--). First pitched is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
