RedHawks Unveil Improvements to Ballpark

New Additions to Enhance Fan Experience for 2014 and Beyond
April 9, 2014

OKLAHOMA CITY - As the RedHawks enter their 17th season at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the team has made a series of improvements to the facility for the 2014 season.

Upon entering the gates, fans will immediately notice a significant addition: A series of seven, 55-inch high definition LED screens placed throughout the concourse. The video boards, installed by local company OrderMatic, will highlight ballpark information, game lineups, player information, featured food items, sponsorship elements, and much more.

There will also be a 4-by-7 foot video wall consisting of four, 46-inch LED screens located near section 113.

"Improving the fan experience prior to each season is one of our passions," RedHawks President/General Manager Michael Byrnes said. "The new concourse video boards will provide key information and will enhance the fans' experience as they enter the ballpark, walk along the concourse to their seats, and visit our concessions stands."

Another new addition to the concourse will be an iSnap, located by section 107. The iSnap is a social media photo booth fans can use to take and share photos complete with specialized RedHawks graphics.

A series of stainless steel drink rails will be installed at various points along the concourse. Fans will no longer be tied down to their seats and can take in several different views of the game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark while enjoying their food and beverage. This project will be completed prior to the All-Star Break and will have long lasting effects on the fan experience.

Fans who sit in sections 100, 101, and 102 will notice another change: The seats have been converted from bleachers to chairbacks.

"With this change, fans are going to have a more comfortable seat and a better view of the game," Byrnes said. "The demand for more lower level chairback seating from large groups as well as individual buyers makes this an important upgrade."

The RedHawks and their food and beverage partner, Professional Sports Catering, have made yet another addition to the growing menu at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark by introducing Metro Deli. Located next to Pi Pizzeria near section 105, Metro Deli will feature sandwiches and paninis with fresh sliced turkey, ham, and cheese, accompanied by fresh toppings and various homemade sides.

The RedHawks begin the 2014 home schedule Friday, April 11 against New Orleans at 7:05 p.m., followed by post-game fireworks. For information on ticket packages or to reserve a group outing, call (405) 218-1000 or visit okcredhawks.com.
