Peter O'Brien Named Player of the Week

Tampa, Fla. - The Florida State League named Tampa Yankees Catcher Peter O'Brien Player of the Week today. This honor was for games played April 3-13, 2014. 

    Over the 10 game stretch, O'Brien batted .333, with thirteen (13) hits in 39 plate appearances. His hits included four (4) homeruns and two (2) doubles. He has six (6) RBI's and scored (6) six times. He currently leads the team in homeruns, slugging percentage (.692) and OPS (1.058). 

    This is the third year of professional baseball for the 2012 Second Round Draft pick from Miami Gardens, FL. In 2013 he hit .291 (130-for-447) with 39 doubles, four (4) triples, 22 homeruns, and 96 RBI in 119 games at Single-A Charleston and High Single-A Tampa, combined.
