Redbirds Open Promotion-Packed Homestand Saturday

Fireworks, Kolten Wong Bobblehead Giveaway, & Nickelodeon Night Highlight Homestand

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Saturday, May 10 for an eight-game homestand against the division- rival Round Rock Express (Triple-A Rangers) and Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A Royals). The promotion-packed homestand will be highlighted by two fireworks extravaganzas, Kolten Wong Bobblehead giveaway, Mother's Day tan t-shirt giveaway, and Nickelodeon Night.

  • Mobil Super Hunting & Fishing Night With Postgame Fireworks: Enjoy the great outdoors with the Redbirds, courtesy of Mobil Super. Complete with country-themed fireworks, this is one night you won't want to miss.
  • Mobil Super Tour: Former St. Louis Cardinals first baseman and 1982 World Series Champion Tommy Herr will sign pregame autographs in the AutoZone Park plaza and catch out a ceremonial first pitch.

  • Mother's Day Brunch: Help the Redbirds celebrate Mom! Receive a club level ticket and access to an exclusive all-you-can eat buffet from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on the Party deck for only $42.
  • Mother's Day T-shirt Giveaway: Did you know a female cardinal is tan and not red? 1,000 mothers will receive a unique tan t-shirt as we celebrate Mother's Day.
  • Gildan Mother's Day Pampering At The Park: Mother's Day is all about Mom, and during our Sunday game, the Redbirds are helping her relax with Gildan's Pampering at the Park. Moms receive free mini-massages or mini-manicures while the kids enjoy fun activities, courtesy of Gildan.
  • Kids Run the Bases - Mother's Day Edition: Mothers and kids 12 and under get to take the field after the game and run like the Redbirds.

  • MLGW Education Day: Watching baseball can be an educational experience, as thousands of local kids from the Mid-South will be in attendance during this Tuesday matinee game, presented by MLGW.

  • Kolten Wong Bobblehead Giveaway: Courtesy of Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics, 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative bobblehead of 2013 St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Player of the Year and Redbirds second baseman Kolten Wong.
  • Block Party: Every Friday, gates open early for a Block Party featuring $2 select beer specials and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the AutoZone Park plaza.

  • Nickelodeon Night: Talent from the children and teen network Nickelodeon will be taking over AutoZone Park, bringing a slime-u-lator, pies, plenty of shenanigans, and lots of green slime. Contestants will be slimed, pied, and watered by Nickelodeon during half-inning breaks throughout the entirety of Saturday's game. Nickelodeon personality Jeff Sutphen will lead the night's special events. SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora The Explorer will also be in attendance to greet fans.
  • Postgame Fireworks: Join the Redbirds for a postgame fireworks display set to music from Nickelodeon.
  • Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Following the homestand, Memphis will travel for a four-game road trip through Colorado Springs (Triple-A Rockies) before returning home to AutoZone Park on Saturday, May 23 for an eight-game homestand with the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Triple-A Astros) and Iowa Cubs (Triple-A Cubs).
