Tyler Clippard was a great starting pitcher for the Tampa Yankees in 2005. He had hitters guessing the whole season with his superb control. Clippard was 10-9 with a 3.18 ERA , striking out 169 batters and only walking 34.

Tyler Clippard sometimes referred to as "The Yankee Clippard," pitched for the New York Yankees in 2007 before being traded to the Washington Nationals.

As a member of the Nationals, Tyler has posted good numbers. In 2008 he started two games but was assigned to the bullpen in the 2009 season. Clippard excelled this year in the pen, going 4-2 with 67 strikeouts in 60.1 innings all while maintaining a 2.69 ERA.
