'Reach for the Stars' Learning Disabilities Awareness Day on Sunday, June 22
Fans will be encouraged to REACH FOR THE STARS on Sunday, June 22 as the Buffalo Bisons and the Learning Disabilities Association of Western New York partner to present LD Awareness Day at Coca-Cola Field during the team's game against the Rochester Red Wings (1:05 p.m.).
As part of the event, tickets purchased through the LDA of WNY will cost just $10, with proceeds benefitting the organization's efforts to educated and empower all individuals with learning and/or developmental disabilities. To purchase these tickets, fans should visit the LD of WNY Main Office at 2555 Elmwood Ave. in Kenmore (874-7200).
During the Reach for the Stars Game at Coca-Cola Field, the LDA of WNY will hold a 50/50 Raffle as well as other raffles for great prizes. The first 50 kids to stop by the LDA of WNY informational table in the concourse will receive Summer Learning Kits and other goodies. Information on free services for both kids and adults with learning disabilities will also be available during in-game announcements.

The Learning Disabilities Association of WNY began as a Parent Support Group in 1965. Today, LDA of WNY provides services and programs to over 1,200 individuals with learning disabilities within WNY. Our mission is to provide high-quality individualized, comprehensive, and innovative services, which support, educate, and empower all individuals with learning and/or developmental disabilities. We provide an array of services and programs, including but not limited to: Educational Advocacy, Family Support, Community Employment, After School Respite, Adult Education and our art program, Starlight Studio and Art Gallery.
