"Fans Choice" Balloting Opens for SAL All-Star Game

RiverDogs fans can tweet, email all-star selections

With the first half of the 2014 season winding down and the South Atlantic League All-Star Game just weeks away, Charleston RiverDogs fans can help select this year's group of Sally League all-stars.

"Fans Choice" balloting is now open for all RiverDogs followers to pick their all-stars for the 2014 SAL All-Star Game. Members of all 14 teams over both divisions of the league are eligible for selection. Fans are encouraged to make one suggestion for each of the following positions: manager, pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, left field, center field, right field, designated hitter, and athletic trainer (Southern Division only for trainer).

To vote, fans can either tweet their suggestions to @chasriverdogs, the official Charleston RiverDogs twitter account, or email their picks to RiverDogs Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Sean Houston at [email protected]. Voting will close on May 29, 2014.

The 55th annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game will be held at Hickory's L.P. Frans Stadium on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Last year, the RiverDogs had six mid-season all-stars - catcher Peter O'Brien and pitchers Rafael De Paula, Gabriel Encinas, Dietrich Enns, Ben Paullus, and Alex Smith.
