He's appeared in 179 career games in the Majors with a 4.30 ERA. He is in his 15th season of Minor League ball with a 73-75 record and 3.88 ERA.

Sosa started seven games for the Isotopes this season with a 1-2 record and 3.72 ERA. He struck out 27 batters and walked only 12. The 28-year-old right-hander has been acquired by the Seoul Nexen Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization. Sosa played part of the 2012 and all of the 2013 season in Korea.

The Isotopes and Fresno Grizzlies will play game two of their four-game set tonight at 8:05 p.m. MT. Right-handed pitcher Red Patterson (2-2, 5.12 ERA) will take the hill for the Topes, while Fresno will counter with righty Chris Heston (3-2, 3.40 ERA).
