Cardinals Release 2014 Promo Schedule!
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The Johnson City Cardinals are excited to announce their official 2014 Promotional Schedule, highlighted by such events as Oregon Trail Gold Rush Night, Salute to Science Night and Vampire Appreciation Night!
"We have been working towards this for months now, and our promotional schedule reflects the fun atmosphere we are looking to continue here at Cardinal Park," said Cardinals GM Tyler Parsons. "We strive to bring unique promotions to Johnson City, and I firmly believe we have accomplished that with some of these crazy ideas!"
The Cardinals will being the season with a bang when they welcome renowned Christian-Rock band Unspoken for the annual WCQR Faith and Family Night Concert. Fans will be treated to a pregame concert followed by the Cardinal's home opener as they take on the Danville Braves.
The fun will continue immediately, as the following day will introduce fans to the first of six Bank of Tennessee Dollar Mondays. General Admission tickets, hot dogs, chips, candy, soda and popcorn will each be just $1 on every Monday, creating one of the best deals in Cardinals history!
Also in June with be the popular Bark in the Park (June 28th) and Golf Night (June 29th).
The month of July will start with Military Appreciation Night on July 1st followed closely by the Cardinal's first Fireworks Extravaganza taking place on July 5th.
July also features three of the most unique promotions in all of Minor League Baseball, starting with Vampire Appreciation Night on July 19th. Fans and staff will be encouraged to dress like vampires and special "red" beverages will be available in the concession stand. Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to donate blood in conjunction with the Blood Assurance blood drive.
On Friday, July 25th the Cardinals will host Oregon Trail Gold Rush Night. Inspired by the classic educational video game, Oregon Trail Gold Rush Night will live up to its name and be highlighted by gold. Random assortments of gold and silver coins will be buried in the infield, and after the game fans will have a chance to come down and dig for their chance to take it home!
Salute to Science Night will take place the following night on July 26th, as the Cardinals will partner with Hands On! Museum to bring a multitude of science experiments and demonstrations to the ballpark. You might even see a rocket get launched in the outfield between innings!
The month of August will feature several tremendous promotions as well, including Johnson City History and Hero Night on August 7th where selected members of the area will be honored as "Heroes" for their past and present influence on the Johnson City community.
Another amazing fireworks show is scheduled for August 9th, in what will be the final Saturday game of the season.
The Cardinals will close out the season with their first ever For Our Fans Night on August 29th, where each and every fan will receive a complimentary ticket courtesy of the Cardinals sponsors, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a free hot dog, chips and soda!
The Johnson City Cardinals will begin their 2014 home season on Sunday, June 22nd when they take on the Danville Braves.
