Charlie Manning was a starting pitcher for the Tampa Yankees in 2002. Manning posted good numbers with Tampa and looked as if he was going to be a dominant left handed starter. In 100 innings Charlie Manning went 6-4 with a 3.24 ERA before being promoted to the Double A affiliate in Norwich.

Manning struggled a bit as a starter in the 2003 season before being converted into a relief pitcher. As a reliever, Manning moved through the ranks and eventually made his Major League Debut on April 24, 2008 with the Washington Nationals organization. He appeared in 57 games going 1-3 with a 5.14 ERA.

Charlie Manning spent the 2009 season in Memphis, Tennessee pitching for the Triple A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Manning pitched in 48 innings while striking out 34 batters and only walking 21. We hope to see Manning continue his success and make it back to the Big Leagues very soon.
