Sky Sox Announce New Flagship Radio Station

Sports Animal AM 1300 To Broadcast Sky Sox Games
November 2, 2009
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox Baseball Club is proud to announce Sports Animal AM 1300 as the new flagship radio station for all broadcasts of Sky Sox baseball. The 2010 season promises to be an exciting one, as the two-time PCL Champion Sky Sox celebrate their 23rd season in Colorado Springs with a new home on the radio.

"Having recently completed one of the most exciting seasons in our history and having some of the most talented players in all of Minor League Baseball like Carlos Gonzalez and Eric Young Jr., we are thrilled to be bringing our exciting brand of baseball and future major league stars to our new radio flagship, Sports Animal AM 1300," said Sky Sox President and General Manager Tony Ensor. "We know our fans will be just as excited as we are to have our new radio home on the only Colorado Springs station that specializes in sports."

Sports Animal AM 1300 is one of Southern Colorado's most dynamic new AM stations! The day begins with Don Imus-In-The-Morning, the workday features popular sports talk host Jim Rome, then afternoons and evenings are powered by up-to-the-minute coverage from Fox Sports.

"We decided that bringing back the Sports Animal and sports radio was important for this community and to have the Colorado Springs Sky Sox as the cornerstone of the programming is a fantastic fit for everyone," said Mike Knar, General Manager of Citadel Broadcasting of Colorado Springs and owner of KCSF 1300.

The Animal is released Thursday, November 5th!

All regular and postseason games will be broadcast of Sports Animal AM 1300 with Dan Karcher, the voice of the Sky Sox, on the call for every pitch.
