WCC Baseball Championships Returns

STOCKTON, CA-Banner Island Ballpark is set to host the 2014 West Coast Conference Baseball Championship for the second consecutive year. The first pitch is slated for Thursday at 3:00 p.m. PDT when top-seeded Pepperdine faces Santa Clara. That game will be followed by Loyola Marymount vs. Gonzaga at approximately 7 p.m. PDT.
Last year's Championship produced two first-round picks, including the number two overall selection, Kris Bryant. This type of talent (29 drafted players in 2013 alone) has quickly led to the WCC Championship becoming a must-see event in baseball circles. Representatives from the MLB organizations including the Oakland A's, Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, and San Francisco Giants were in attendance for the 2013 Championship at Banner Island.
Tickets for the tournament start at $5 for students and seniors, $12 for MVP seating, and $15 for Club seating. The Club seating will be for Ports ticket holders only and will be the only area to serve alcohol during the event; tickets will be good for an all-day pass, which will vary between 1 and 3 games played per day.
