Time for renovations at Time Warner Cable Field
GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Timber
Rattlers are getting ready for their second season as an affiliate of the
Milwaukee Brewers by making significant changes to the makeup of Time Warner
Cable Field. The renovations include
the addition of several new seating areas, moving the bullpens, and extending
the current walkway beyond the outfield fence.
Construction is already underway and should be completed by April 8,
2010, which is Opening Day for the Timber Rattlers.
The first new seating area is
the "all-you-can-eat" section along the first base line.
This section features three tiers of reserved bar stool seating to
accommodate between 60 and 80 fans and will replace the current visiting
bullpen. The area will be available
for individuals wishing to take advantage of a great seating option that
includes all-you-can-eat hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, potato salad, and
cookies along with two beverages. Tickets
may be purchased for $25 per game.
There will also be nine patio
tables and 250 box seats added to the third base side of the field replacing the
current home bullpen. Patio tables
are $52 per game and consist of four tickets and waitstaff service.
Box seats are $8.50 per game and are individual theater style seats with
seating closest to the field.
The bullpens will be relocated
behind the outfield wall. The new
location for the home bullpen will be to the right of the batter's eye in
centerfield while the new location for the visiting bullpen will be to the left
of the batter's eye. A 36'
section of the outfield wall in each bullpen will feature a see-through fence to
allow fans in the seating bowl the opportunity to view pitchers warming up.
A very unique general admission
seating area will be added behind the rightfield fence.
This new area will be a 25'x90' sand beach.
Fans will be able to relax in the sun and watch the game on the first
ever developed beach at a Minor League Baseball stadium with a $5 general
admission ticket.
Tying the entire project
together will be a boardwalk wrapping around the existing Miller High Life Home
Run Porch, the beach seating and both bullpens allowing fans the ability to walk
out and view the pitchers warming up or to watch the game from a never-before
available view at Time Warner Cable Field.
"Over the past few years, we
have seen an increased demand for our premium seating areas and with this
project we hope to give even more fans the opportunity to utilize our patio
tables, box seats, and a great new area along the first base line," said
Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. "We
are also excited about our outfield beach seating which should be a great area
for fans of all ages. It will be a
very unique place to watch a game for families looking to let their kids play in
the sand or fans looking to catch some rays at the ballgame."
The Timber Rattlers are
currently offering naming rights opportunities to the outfield beach area as
well as the "all-you-can-eat" area along the first base line.
