Arcia named Batavia Downs POTW

Rochester Red Wings outfielder Oswaldo Arcia has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Racetrack Player of the Week for the period of May 19-25.

For the week, Arcia was 6-for-20 (.300) with 2 home runs and 7 RBI. On Sunday, Arcia was recalled by the Minnesota Twins.

Over his last 12 games, Arcia batted .318 (14-44) with 4 doubles, 5 homers & 12 RBI. He's also scored 12 runs over that span. Arcia has hit 15 HR in just 60 Triple-A games (205 AB) with Rochester in his career (1 HR/13.7 AB). Four of his five homers this season have come with runners on base.

Batavia Downs Racetrack, America's oldest lighted harness track, features live races beginning July 23 until December 6. There will be Sunday afternoon racing at Batavia Downs from July 27 through August 31 with a 1:15 p.m. post. Matinees are also scheduled for Labor Day, September 1 and Columbus Day, October 13 also with 1:15 p.m. starts.
