Royals Holiday Sale Set for December 12-13

December 2, 2009
OMAHA, NE - A national publication's ballparks calendar featuring Rosenblatt Stadium and the debut of a commemorative Rosenblatt final season logo highlight this year's Royals Holiday Sale. The annual two-day event will be held in the stadium's Hall of Fame Room on Saturday December 12th from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 13th from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Among the items for sale: Baseball America's 2010 Great Parks Calendar, which features a photo of a Royals game at Rosenblatt for the month of June. Many items, including T-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets will feature the commemorative Rosenblatt final season logo. It was designed by The Emblem Source, which designs World Series and All-Star Game logos for Major League Baseball.

Pairs of Rosenblatt Stadium posters - one featuring a nostalgic photo of the ballpark's early days and the other a photo of the current stadium - will also be available. Limited edition replicas of Rosenblatt, hand-numbered from 1 to 1948 in recognition of the year the stadium opened, will also be on sale.

New Nike Omaha Royals hooded sweatshirts, Royals hats, blankets and souvenirs will be among the great gifts available for men, women and children.

"We're the official Rosenblatt souvenir shop in town," said Jason Kinney, Royals Director of Merchandise. "We'll have great items such as T-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, sweatpants and many collectible items at this year's Holiday Sale."

On Saturday the 12th, former Husker football players Aaron Graham, Matt Hoskinson, Joel Mackovicka, Pat Ricketts, Brendan Stai and others will be signing autographs. On Sunday the 13th, former Creighton pitcher and current Yankees farmhand Pat Venditte will sign autographs. The autograph session is slated for noon-1:30 p.m. both days. In exchange for the autographs, fans are asked to bring cans of food or toys for the Open Door Mission or they may make a cash donation to the ALLPLAY Miracle Baseball League.

Full and half-season tickets, mini-plan packages and General Admission ticket books will also be on sale. Fans who purchase a 15-game mini-plan will receive a $15 gift card to Royals Treasures, the team's gift shop. Gift certificates, good for either merchandise or tickets, will also be available in any amount. Bring your camera, as the Royals mascot Casey and Santa will be on hand both days for photos.
