Donations accepted at Stone Crabs office and local Charlotte County SunTrust offices
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs have teamed up with SunTrust Bank for a "Holiday Home Run Gift Drive" to provide holiday gifts for local Charlotte County children in need.
Local residents are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys that can be given to local children (ages 4-11) as holiday gifts. Monetary donations are also accepted. Donations will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, and can be made at the Stone Crabs front office at Charlotte Sports Park or at any Charlotte County SunTrust bank location.
"SunTrust is proud to team up with the Stone Crabs to try and provide some holiday cheer to local children who would otherwise have nothing on Christmas morning, which is something we can all identify with," said Steven Vito, Charlotte County President for SunTrust Bank. "I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the Stone Crabs organization. They have quickly weaved themselves into the fabric of our community, and I appreciate all they do for the residents of Charlotte County."
As an extra incentive, anyone who makes a donation will be eligible to receive a complimentary Luxury Suite Night from the Stone Crabs during the upcoming season. The package includes 12 tickets for a Luxury Suite and is valued at $485.
"It's more important than ever to give to those in need during the holiday season," said Joe Hart, general manager of the Stone Crabs. "We appreciate SunTrust letting us get involved in this wonderful program to give back to our local kids."
