Sanchez, the lone Intimidators' representative in the All-Star Game, is 5-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 13 games (seven starts) for Kannapolis. He opened the season as the Intimidators closer, converting on all three of his save opportunities, before moving into the rotation on April 25 with 6.0 shut out innings and a career-high 10 strikeouts at Rome. Sanchez, 24, is coming off his first career complete game, working all 7.0 innings of Sunday's doubleheader against Hagerstown, limiting the Suns to one run to earn his team-leading fifth win. He ranks tied for fourth in the league with 58 strikeouts.

He led the Pioneer League in ERA, strikeouts (78) and opponent average (.230) while ranking third in innings pitched (81.2) in 2013.
