Pirates Annouce Season Ticket Plans and Pricing for 2010 Season
It will be the eighth consecutive season without a price increase for Pirates season ticket holders, the longest current stretch of any Major League Baseball team.
"Pirates fans are the most loyal in all of sports. That loyalty is sincerely appreciated by everyone at the organization and critical as we work hard to put ourselves in the position to compete for the playoffs year in and year out," said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. "We further enhanced our season ticket offerings to provide our season ticket holders, our most loyal fans, unmatched value and fan-friendly experiences."
The Half-Season plan, which includes 41 games at PNC Park, has been introduced for the 2010 season. This plan includes all Friday through Sunday home games, Opening Day, and an Interleague matchup against the Chicago White Sox. This plan is offered in all areas of the ballpark with the exception of the Dugout Box sections. This new option provides a great alternative for fans who want to attend more than the 20-game plan offers but are unable to attend all 81 games.
Also, kids' season ticket prices will be available for the first time in 2010, offering significant savings for fans aged 14 and under. These specially-priced tickets will be available in the Infield Grandstand, Bleacher Reserved, and Left and Right Grandstands. For a full season plan in these seat locations the lower Value Plan pricing will remain in place for both adults and kids, while for Half Season and 20-Game Plans in these locations the kids pricing will be in effect for 2010. Pricing is as follows:
| Seat Category | Full Season Plan Price Per Game - Adults | Full Season Plan Price Per Game - Kids | Half Season Plan Price Per Game - Adults | Half Season Plan Price Per Game - Kids | 20-Game Plan Price Per Game - Adults | 20-Game Plan Price Per Game - Kids |
| Infield Grandstand | $9.86 | $9.86 | $12.00 | $10.00 | $14.00 | $10.00 |
| Bleacher Reserved | $7.40 | $7.40 | $9.00 | $8.00 | $11.00 | $8.00 |
| L/R Grandstand | $4.93 | $4.93 | $9.00 | $6.00 | $10.00 | $6.00 |
The popular Full Season Value Plans are available once again in 2010. The value plans allow more Pirates fans to become full season tickets holders and enjoy the many benefits that come with being a full season ticket holder. The plans are as follows:
$399 full season plan in the Left, Right and Outfield Grandstands (Sections 301-308 and 325-333). At only $4.93 per game, this plan has been created to provide value for families while providing a great view of the game.
$599 full season plan in the Bleacher Reserved (Sections 133-138). At $7.40 per game, this package allows fans to sit field level in Left Field at significant savings.
$799 full season plan in the Infield Grandstand (Sections 309-323). At $9.86 per game, these seats overlook the infield and will provide great views of the game, skyline and post-game fireworks.
$999 in the Outfield Box (Sections 101-103, 129-132). At $12.33 per game, these field-level seats are located down the left and right field lines.
Pirates season ticket holders can expect to enjoy the same benefits and even more exclusive events than previous seasons, including the following:
Discounts on additional tickets
Special discounts at Pirates Outfitters stores
Food, beverage and team store credits
Bonus game tickets
Complimentary PirateFest tickets and early access to the event
Access to the MVP Zone at PirateFest

In addition, the extended payment plan that was introduced last season has been enhanced in 2010 to help Pirates fans make smaller payments on their season tickets. The plan has been lengthened even more so monthly payments can be made from now through April 2010 without being charged interest.
