Bono, Legends' wins leader in '09, traded to Florida
Bono was 10-8 with a 3.20 ERA in 25 starts for Lexington, where he was part of a highly regarded starting rotation. He was drafted by Houston in the 11th round of the June 2007 draft.
Lindstrom saved 13 games in 15 save opportunities for the Marlins in 2009, and may open the 2010 season as the closer for the Astros.
Shortstop Luis Bryan, who hit .340 for the Gulf Coast League Astros, will also move to the Florida organization, as will infielder Jorge Jimenez, who was selected by the Astros from the Pawtucket Red Sox in the Rule V draft and then added to the trade.
"Our guys think Bryan is going to be a really good big league player, but he's 19 years old and X number of years away from the big leagues," said Astros General Manager Ed Wade. "Bono has a chance to pitch in the big leagues and we recognize it impacts the depth of those young arms, but if we have a chance to add a kid who could close and who has the stuff Lindstrom has, you have to give up something to get something."
