Two Ports Named to California League All-Star Team
STOCKTON, Calif.- Stockton Ports catcher Bruce Maxwell and pitcher Seth Streich have been named to the 2014 Mid-Season All-Star roster. The All-Star game will be held on June 17th in Wilmington, DE.
The left-handed hitting Bruce Maxwell is in his second season with the Ports and is currently ranked 16th on the A's top prospects list. Maxwell, who is expected to start the Mid-Season Classic, is batting .282 with 4 homeruns and 19 RBI with the Ports. The second-round draft pick of 2012 is one of the leading defensive players for the Ports and in 2013 represented the Single-A Beloit Snappers at the Midwest League All-Star Game.
Streich, a right-handed starter with the Ports, is in his first season with Stockton and is currently leading the team in ERA (3.41), wins (6), strikeouts (67). The 2012 sixth-round draft pick was named the June 2013 Player of the Week of the Midwest League while with the Beloit Snappers.

The 2014 California-Carolina League All-Star Game will be hosted by the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Frawley Stadium in Delaware. Representatives for each of the ten California League teams will be present at the 18th annual event. The California League looks to redeem themselves in the Advanced-A matchup after falling 12-2 to the Carolina League in 2013.
