Ricardo Medina returns as the hitting coach for the Boise Hawks in 2010 after holding the same position in Boise last year and coaching in the Dominican Summer League. Ricardo has been a coach, manager or scout for the Cubs organization since 1999.

  • Made his managerial debut with Rookie-League Mesa in 2007 guiding the club to a 27-29 mark.
  • Served as hitting coach at Peoria (A) in 2005 and also at Mesa from 1999-2003.
  • Has assisted the organization as a scout in Latin America, as a coach with the Dominican (Rookie) club and as a part-time scout in his native Panama.
  • Was a part-time scout for Boston in 1997.
  • The former first baseman played in the Cubs farm system from 1989-1994...had his best pro season in 1992, batting .263 in 125 games at Peoria (A) with 27 doubles, five homers and 67 RBI.
